Basketball Recap: White Academy Comes Up Short

White Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 24th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Middlesboro Yellowjackets and fell 60-22. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 400th in Tennessee, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 108th in Kentucky).

White Academy got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Macy England and Gracie Blair, who each put up six points. England also led the team in rebounds with six.

White Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Middlesboro, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-4.

White Academy will take on Washburn at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Middlesboro, they will challenge Pineville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
