Softball Recap: Antelope Takes a Loss

Antelope and Ponderosa squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Antelope had to settle for second. They came up short against the Bruins, falling 20-8. The Titans have struggled against the Bruins recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Isabella Sheldon made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Nikki Nguyen also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Antelope's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Ponderosa, their victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-8.

Antelope does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ponderosa, they will challenge Merced at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bruins' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bears have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
