The Polynesian Bowl continues to grow as one of high school football's marquee events and 2021 is off to a great start. J.T. Tuimoloau of Eastside Catholic (Sammamish, Wash.), the No. 1 rated player in the country, is the first to commit to the 2021 Polynesian Bowl.

A first-team MaxPreps selection on the Freshman and Sophomore All-American teams, Tuimoloau finished his sophomore campaign with 79 tackles, 20 tackles for loss and 12 sacks while leading the Washington power to a 13-1 record and a 3A Washington state title.

He continues the trend of Eastside Catholic players committing to the Polynesian Bowl. Gee Scott Jr., Sam Adams II, DJ Rogers and Ayden Hector are committed to the 2020 game.

There are currently 62 players committed to the 2020 event, including DJ Uiagalelei, Justin Flowe, Sav'ell Smalls, Paris Johnson Jr., Rakim Jarrett, Kelee Ringo, Chris Tyree, Johnny Wilson, Darion Green-Warren and Mekhail Sherman.

Expect a lot more big-time names to follow after Tuimoloau's commitment to the 2021 Polynesian Bowl.
