The Ramblers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Dragons at 4:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Cathedral Prep's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while Warren has been banged up by nine consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Cathedral Prep's hitters will try to repeat the strong performance they gave on Thursday, when they got past McDowell's usually-dominant pitching crew. The Ramblers were the clear victors by a 15-3 margin over the Trojans. The Ramblers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by seven runs or more this season.
Cathedral Prep got a great performance from Frank Thomas as he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits.

At the plate, Derick Friedman was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs, two RBI, and one double. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Andrew Costello was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Cathedral Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as McDowell only posted an OBP of .250.
Meanwhile, Warren fell victim to General McLane and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They fell just short of the Lancers by a score of 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Dragons have suffered since May 3, 2024.
Cathedral Prep is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Warren, their loss dropped their record down to 0-15.
Warren's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Cathedral Prep hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .344. It's a different story for Warren, though, as they've only averaged .192. Will they be able to contain Cathedral Prep's hitters?
