Basketball Game Preview: Berkley Bears vs. Royal Oak Ravens

Berkley and Royal Oak are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2016, but not for long. The Berkley Bears will host the Royal Oak Ravens at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Berkley's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matches.

Berkley fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Southfield Arts & Tech on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 70-68. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Bears have suffered since February 12, 2024.

Meanwhile, Royal Oak came into Friday's game having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 38-30 victory over Seaholm on Friday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Ravens' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 320th, while the Maples are ranked 120th).

Berkley's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Royal Oak, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7.
