Berean Christian skate past Concord with ease

Recap: Berean Christian Eagles vs. Concord Minutemen

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Alhambra, The Berean Christian Eagles were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 46-14 victory over Concord. For Berean Christian, this counts as revenge for the 32-14 loss Concord walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2022.

Berean Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Zach Trebotich led the charge by rushing for 123 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries. Trebotich is on a roll when it comes to solo tackles, as he's now made six or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Werner, who threw for 172 yards and three touchdowns.

Despite the loss, Concord still got an impressive performance from Monte Beam, who rushed for 196 yards and a touchdown. Beam was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 67 yards.

Berean Christian's victory bumped their record up to 3-5-1. As for Concord, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Berean Christian will face off against Ygnacio Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ygnacio Valley comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Concord, they will be playing at home against Mt. Diablo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
