Plainfield waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with 14 straight wins... but they left with 15. They walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Perry Meridian Falcons. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-4 on Tuesday.

Plainfield got a great performance from Sidney Parks as she struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Parks has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Sydney Sauri, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.

Plainfield hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least two batters in three consecutive games.

Plainfield pushed their record up to 20-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Perry Meridian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-11.

Plainfield didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-3 win against Brownsburg on the 8th. As for Perry Meridian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 11-0 victory against Indianapolis Lutheran on the 9th.
