Basketball Recap: The Master's Academy Comes Up Short

The Master's Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were outmatched by the Veritas Christian Academy Warriors and fell 65-38. That's two games in a row now that the Lions have lost by exactly 27 points.

Veritas Christian Academy found their leader in freshman Owen Foote, who posted 17 points. Another player making a difference was Lee Burgess, who earned eight points.

The Master's Academy's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-8. As for Veritas Christian Academy, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 11-8.

The Master's Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Veritas Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 63-29 win against Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy on the 4th.
