Football Recap: Walker Valley's Winning Streak Snapped at Six Games

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last six games, Walker Valley finally came back down to earth on Friday. They fell 7-2 to the Sequatchie County Indians. The contest marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Chase Stephens threw for 223 yards on 17 of 35 attempts. Sawyer Boyd was his top target, picking up 95 receiving yards. On the ground, Cason Cunningham rushed for 30 yards.

The Golden Eagles' defense has only allowed 14.4 points per game this season, so the Mustangs' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Sequatchie County, they will head out on the road to challenge Giles County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians will need to watch out since the Bobcats have now posted at least 31 points in their last four games.
