Soccer Game Preview: Lafayette vs. Tabb

The Lafayette Rams will head out on the road to square off against the Tabb Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

Last Thursday, Lafayette didn't have quite enough to beat Grafton and fell 3-2. While losing is never fun, Lafayette can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while Grafton are ranked 16th).

Meanwhile, Tabb sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over York on Tuesday.

Tabb's win bumped their record up to 6-4-3. As for Lafayette, they now have a losing record of 4-5-2.

Lafayette was able to grind out a solid victory over Tabb in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
