Volleyball Recap: Torrington Raiders vs. Waterbury Career Academy Spartans

Torrington and Waterbury Career Academy met for a duel on Tuesday where Torrington couldn't get it done. The Torrington Raiders lost 3-0 to the Waterbury Career Academy Spartans. The Raiders have struggled against the Spartans recently, as their game on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Torrington was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-22, 25-19.

Granby Memorial will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something Torrington surely won't give up without a fight. As for Waterbury Career Academy, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Oxford at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Waterbury Career Academy is facing Oxford at the right time seeing as Oxford is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
