Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Olympia). They blew past the Bloomington Purple Raiders 9-0 on Friday. The victory was nothing new for Olympia as they're now sitting on four straight.

Their offense was hitting Bloomington from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Elyse Eimer led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Olympia's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-9-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three games. As for Bloomington, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-16 record this season.

Olympia and Bloomington could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Spartans (ranked 299th) will meet Athens/PORTA (ranked 149th) at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Bloomington will face off against Centennial at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (358 vs. 176).
