Baseball Recap: Earlsboro Comes Up Short

Earlsboro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 23-3 to the Varnum Whippets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 13-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Earlsboro's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Varnum, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Earlsboro will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on New Lima at 4:00 p.m. on April 17. As for Varnum, they will venture away from home to challenge Sasakwa at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
