It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Monroe Central can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Faith Christian Eagles on Saturday. The Golden Bears' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Maylynn Morrison paced Monroe Central's offense, picking up eight kills. Morrison got some help from Bentley Pegg and her 19 assists. Finally, Shyan Bennett kept Monroe Central's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Among those leading the charge was Kelsey Olehy, who had 17 assists and ten digs. She has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more assists the last 12 times she's played.

Monroe Central's loss dropped their record down to 13-20. As for Faith Christian, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 29-4.

Monroe Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Faith Christian, after both having extra time off, they and South Newton will shake off the rust and duke it out at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
