Football Recap: Cherokee Bluff Comes Up Short

Cherokee Bluff lost against Jefferson back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bears lost 31-10 to the Dragons. The matchup marked the Bears' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Cooper Dean threw for 120 yards and one TD. Dylan Haley was his top target, picking up 56 receiving yards. On the ground, Jackson Pirkle rushed for 63 yards.

Jefferson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Logan Edmunds led the charge by picking up 88 receiving yards and one touchdown. Those 88 receiving yards gave Edmunds a new career-high.

Cherokee Bluff has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for Jefferson, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.
