Basketball Recap: Ayden Poteet's Big Game Can't Quite Lead West over Little River Academy + How To Watch

West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Little River Academy Bumblebees, falling 74-48. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bumblebees apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

West lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Ayden Poteet, who went 5-for-8 to rack up 13 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Aidan Green, who posted five points.

West's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Little River Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Coming up, West will venture away from home to take on Hillsboro at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Little River Academy, they will welcome Gatesville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
