Volleyball Recap: Pinecrest Prep Takes a Loss

After flying high against Somerset College Prepartory Academy South on Monday, Pinecrest Prep came back down to earth. The Crocs fell just short of Archimedean by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The Crocs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Archimedean earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Pinecrest Prep took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 13-25, 25-14, 23-25, 25-23, 15-11.

Pinecrest Prep has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Archimedean, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pinecrest Prep will face off against Mater Brickell Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Archimedean, they will square off against International Studies at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
