Baseball Game Preview: Lakeland Eagles vs. Walled Lake Central Vikings

The Lakeland Eagles will take on the Walled Lake Central Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Lakeland is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.

On Tuesday, Lakeland earned a 6-2 win over Kettering.

Meanwhile, Walled Lake Central hadn't done well against Walled Lake Western recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Vikings' pitchers stepped up to hand the Warriors a 1-0 shutout.

Walled Lake Central has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-6-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Lakeland, they pushed their record up to 7-4-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.
