Baseball Game Preview: Waterford Wildcats vs. Denair Coyotes

For the second straight game, Waterford will face off against Denair. The Wildcats will be playing at home against the Coyotes at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Waterford's hitters haven't had much luck over their past seven matchups, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Waterford's offense. They came up short against Denair on Tuesday, falling 8-0.

For Denair's part, Brayden Hart was a standout: he scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those two stolen bases gave Hart a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lincoln Hart, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

The victory made it two in a row for Denair and bumps their season record up to 7-5-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Waterford, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.
