Softball Recap: Terrell Tigers vs. Midlothian Panthers

Terrell had lost eight straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 3-16 to make it nine. They came up short against the Midlothian Panthers, falling 11-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 31-3 back in March.

As for Midlothian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games.

For Midlothian's part, they got a great performance from Paige Insley as she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave Insley a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

At the plate, Madison Howard was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Aubrey Robledo was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs.

Terrell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Midlothian, they will face off against Cleburne at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
