Baseball Game Preview: Sky View Bobcats vs. Green Canyon Wolves

For the second straight game, Sky View will face off against Green Canyon. Sky View will challenge Green Canyon at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Sky View has three straight victories, Green Canyon has nine straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Sky View will bounce into Monday's matchup after beating Green Canyon, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Sky View came out on top against Green Canyon by a score of 6-3 on Friday. That's two games straight that the Bobcats have won by exactly three runs.

Vincent Taylor spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on four hits.

On the hitting side, Sky View saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chance Christensen, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI. Those two RBI gave Christensen a new career-high. Mason Dillinger was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Sky View's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Green Canyon, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.
