After losing to Holmes the last time they met, Harlan decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Harlan Hawks came out on top against the Holmes Huskies by a score of 10-6 on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hawks.

Bella Alvarado was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February. Lauren Vallery also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.

Harlan's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Holmes, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Looking ahead, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when Harlan Hawks challenge Stevens Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Stevens has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.79 runs per game on average), something Harlan will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Holmes, they will challenge Brennan at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Brennan's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Holmes' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
