Basketball Recap: Longview Christian's Loss Ends Eight-Game Winning Streak at Home

After flying high against Greenville Christian last Tuesday, Longview Christian came back down to earth. Longview Christian lost 52-28 to the Christian Heritage Sentinels on Tuesday. Longview Christian hasn't had much luck with Christian Heritage recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Despite the loss, Longview Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Isabella Smith went 6 for 15 en route to 12 points.

Longview Christian's defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-4. As for Christian Heritage, they are on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 20 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Longview Christian will host Poetry Community Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Longview Christian is facing Poetry Community Christian at the right time seeing as Poetry Community Christian is stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Christian Heritage, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Greenville Christian at 6:00 p.m. Christian Heritage is coming into the contest hot, having won their last ten games.
