Baseball Recap: Fort Bend Christian Academy Starts Season with Victory Against Cooper

Fort Bend Christian Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. Everything went their way against the Cooper Dragons as the Fort Bend Christian Academy Eagles made off with a 10-2 win. The Eagles have beaten the Dragons the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Dragons has come to flipping the script.

The team relied heavily on Gavin Low, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (three). Another player making a difference was Jake Pellegrino, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Fort Bend Christian Academy will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against West Houston HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on February 17th. As for Cooper, they will square off against Lutheran South Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
