Basketball Recap: Mid-Carolina Drops Season-High Score on Newberry

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mid-Carolina). They took down the Newberry Bulldogs 58-44 on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 43-22 back in December of 2024.

Mid-Carolina moved to 3-8 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Newberry, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mid-Carolina will take on Fox Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Newberry, they will challenge Irmo at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
