Basketball Game Preview: Dora Bulldogs vs. Fultondale Wildcats

The Dora Bulldogs will take on the Fultondale Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Fultondale is hoping to do what Hanceville couldn't on Tuesday: put an end to Dora's winning streak, which now stands at three games. Dora walked away with a 61-48 victory over Hanceville.

Dora can attribute much of their success to Bella Reese, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 14 boards, and Ja'Laya Harris, who posted 17 points along with eight boards and five steals. Harris is becoming a predictor of Dora's success: when she posts at least five steals the team is 13-6 (and 1-2 when she doesn't). Kaylee Woods was another key player, putting up ten points and six rebounds.

Dora smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in ten consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Fultondale didn't have too much trouble with Tarrant on Wednesday as they won 63-47.

Dora pushed their record up to 14-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Fultondale, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-11 record this season.

Dora barely slipped by Fultondale in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 45-44. Does Dora have another victory up their sleeve, or will Fultondale turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
