            Softball Recap: Baldwin Indians vs. Episcopal School of Jacksonville Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Baldwin walked away with it. They walked away with  a   7-4  win over the Episcopal School of Jacksonville Eagles  on Tuesday. The  victory continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won six in a row.
 Hayden Peebles spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on seven hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't  tossed less than eight  strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  Raven Watson was  incredible,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run, two  RBI,  and one  double. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jazmine Ramos-Merced, who  got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI.

 Baldwin  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters  in eight consecutive  matchups.
Baldwin pushed their record up to 20-7 with the  win, which was their fourth straight  at home. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Episcopal School of Jacksonville, they moved to 22-6 with that  loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
 Looking ahead, Baldwin will take on North Bay Haven Academy at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (the Indians 3, the Buccaneers 2.2) so any  runs scored will be well earned. Episcopal School of Jacksonville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
