Softball Recap: Central Christian Comes Up Short

Central Christian lost against Crestline back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Comets lost 21-11 to the Bulldogs. While the Comets didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bulldogs 7-1 in the first period.

Edisa Plants and Lily Miller did some serious damage despite the final result: Plants scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances, while Miller scored a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Adeline Aubrey, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

This is the second loss in a row for Central Christian and nudges their season record down to 1-2. As for Crestline, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

While Central Christian had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
