Basketball Recap: Pleasant Ridge Takes a Loss

Pleasant Ridge lost against Valley Falls back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Pleasant Ridge Rams took a blow against the Valley Falls Dragons, falling 72-38.

Valley Falls' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Collin Kearney, who made all 9 shots he took to post 21 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Trenten VanHoutan, who went 7 for 16 en route to 22 points and six rebounds.

Pleasant Ridge has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Valley Falls, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4.

Pleasant Ridge will venture away from home to take on Jackson Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pleasant Ridge is facing Jackson Heights at the right time seeing as Jackson Heights is stuck on a six-game losing streak. Valley Falls has already played their next match (against Troy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
