It was a proper cat-fight when Christian Educational Consortium faced off against Waggener on Thursday. The Christian Educational Consortium Cougars fell to the Waggener Wildcats 51-45. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.

Christian Educational Consortium lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jenna Wyndham, who posted 24 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. That was a full 53.3% of Christian Educational Consortium's points, marking the third time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Sophie Hales, who scored 13 points in addition to eight steals and seven boards.

Christian Educational Consortium has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Waggener, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.
