Baseball Recap: Petersburg Comes Up Short

Petersburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 10-2 to the Homer Mariners. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mariners this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-3 on Friday.

Petersburg saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Edgar Olsen, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Petersburg's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Homer, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coincidentally, Petersburg and Homer will both be playing Ketchikan the next time they take the field. The Mariners will head out to face the Kings at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Vikings will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
