Volleyball Recap: North Central's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

If North Central was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Langford on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Thunder fell 2-0 to the Lions on Saturday. The Thunder were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Amree VanderVorst paced North Central's offense, picking up eight kills. VanderVorst got some help from Camryn Witlock and her 14 assists. VanderVorst also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Alaina Dosch, racking up two apiece.

With the defeat, North Central broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-5. As for Langford, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.

North Central has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Herreid/Selby on the 20th. Langford has also already played their next contest (against Timber Lake), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
