Basketball Game Preview: Hug Hawks vs. South Tahoe Vikings

The Hug Hawks will head out on the road to square off against the South Tahoe Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Hug's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games.

Hug is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Wooster just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 69-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Colts.

Meanwhile, South Tahoe came into Wednesday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They strolled past North Valleys with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 64-45.

South Tahoe's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Hug, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.

Hug strolled past South Tahoe when the teams last played back in January of 2024 by a score of 74-58. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was South Tahoe's Ronan Fisher, who went 9 for 14 on his way to 18 points and five rebounds.
