Salem Baptist Christian suffers tenth straight loss at home

This season hasn't been kind to the Salem Baptist Christian Vikings, who are still winless after their 14th game. They fell just short of Carolina Day by a score of 43-41. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Salem Baptist Christian in their matchups with Carolina Day: they've now lost three in a row.

Despite the loss, Salem Baptist Christian still got an impressive performance from Garrett Trinkle, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. Trinkle scored a full 51.2% of Salem Baptist Christian's points, the 11th time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Demetri Ioannou, who scored nine points.

Salem Baptist Christian bumped their record down to 0-14 with that loss, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Carolina Day, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.

Salem Baptist Christian will head out on the road to face off against Burlington Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Carolina Day, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Asheville T at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Asheville T knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully Carolina Day likes a good challenge.
