This season hasn't been kind to the Salem Baptist Christian Vikings, who are still winless after their 14th game. They fell just short of Carolina Day by a score of 43-41. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Salem Baptist Christian in their matchups with Carolina Day: they've now lost three in a row.
Despite the loss, Salem Baptist Christian still got an impressive performance from Garrett Trinkle, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. Trinkle scored a full 51.2% of Salem Baptist Christian's points, the 11th time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Demetri Ioannou, who scored nine points.
Salem Baptist Christian bumped their record down to 0-14 with that loss, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Carolina Day, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.

As for Carolina Day, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Asheville T at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Asheville T knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully Carolina Day likes a good challenge.
