Basketball Recap: Grace Lutheran Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Grace Lutheran, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They took down Watersprings 33-16 on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 42-17 back in November of 2024.

Despite the loss, Watersprings saw an underclassman step up: freshman Lavinia Hughes posted eight points along with six boards and five blocks. Those five blocks set a new season-high mark for Hughes. Another player making a difference was Bri Williams, who earned four points and six rebounds.

Grace Lutheran now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Watersprings, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Grace Lutheran has already played their next game, a 42-23 defeat against Leadore on the 16th. As for Watersprings, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 29-27 loss against Sho-Ban on the 16th.
