Volleyball Recap: Beachwood Extends Winning Streak to Three

Beachwood had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Horizon Science Academy Dragons as they made off with a 3-0 win.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Beachwood was: they took every set by at least 20 points. The final score came out to 25-3, 25-5, 25-3.

Sadie Barnholtz was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had 12 aces and three assists.

Barnholtz wasn't the only good server: Beachwood was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 48 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 20 aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Beachwood's victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beachwood will take on Orange at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Horizon Science Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on First Baptist Christian at 6:30 p.m. on September 2.
