Volleyball Recap: Joliet Central Comes Up Short

Joliet Central lost against Bolingbrook back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Joliet Central fell just short of Bolingbrook by a score of 2-1.

Jonathan Rios paced Joliet Central's offense, picking up nine kills. Rios got some help from Logan Novak and his 17 assists. Finally, Luis Ernesto Rivas kept Joliet Central's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Bolingbrook was led to victory by Nahya Scott and Dominik Pietruszewski. Scott had 13 digs and four assists, while Pietruszewski had five digs and five assists. Those 13 digs gave Scott a new career-high.

Joliet Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Joliet Central has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Round Lake on the 28th. As for Bolingbrook, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Lane Tech on the 28th.
