Football Recap: Greenfield/Northwestern Takes a Loss

If Greenfield/Northwestern was riding high fresh off their 43-0 takedown of North Greene last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers took a 14-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Calhoun/Brussels Warriors on Friday. The Tigers were not able to make up for their loss to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Ty Bowman threw for 69 yards on eight of 12 attempts. Carter Murphy was his top target, picking up 44 receiving yards.

Easton Wallendorf went supernova For Calhoun/Brussels., rushing for 107 yards and one score. Wallendorf showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 65 yards.

Greenfield/Northwestern's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Calhoun/Brussels, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Greenfield/Northwestern has already played their next contest, a 36-6 victory against West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] on the 10th. As for Calhoun/Brussels, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 41-0 win against Carrollton on the 10th.
