Football Recap: Will Shields Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Mount Vernon + How To Watch

Centreville won the last time they faced Mount Vernon and things went their way on Friday too. The Wildcats managed a 51-47 victory over the Majors. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Centreville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Will Shields, who threw for 256 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 11.6 yards per attempt, and also punched in two scores on the ground. Cardin Stover was Shields' top target, picking up four receiving yards.

Centreville didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. Kaden Parker and Nick Solomon each grabbed an interception. Parker is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season.
