Basketball Recap: Roncalli Catholic Comes Up Short

Roncalli Catholic was the 80-69 winner over South Sioux City when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Roncalli Catholic Crimson Pride fell just short of the South Sioux City Cardinals by a score of 55-52 on Saturday. The Crimson Pride have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

South Sioux City's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jamison Housman led the charge by going 5 for 12 to rack up 15 points. Another player making a difference was Jaden Painter, who posted seven points and seven boards.

Roncalli Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for South Sioux City, their record now sits at 6-13.

Coming up, Roncalli Catholic will take on Bennington at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Bennington is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 66.9 points per game this season. As for South Sioux City, they will face off against Ralston at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
