Volleyball Recap: V.R. Eaton Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

V.R. Eaton entered their tilt with Eagle Mountain on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Knights by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 last Thursday.

V.R. Eaton not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Eagle Mountain between 20 and 21 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-20.

V.R. Eaton got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ariana Gomez out in front who had ten digs and ten assists. Those ten digs gave Gomez a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Callie Gardner, who had 15 digs and one assist.

Molly Aubert and Sophie Burdock certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Aubert had 26 assists and 13 digs, while Burdock had ten digs. Aubert has been hot for a while, having posted 13 or more assists the last 15 times she's played. Lily Adams also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

V.R. Eaton's victory bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Eagle Mountain, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-7.

V.R. Eaton has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Colleyville Heritage on the 26th. As for Eagle Mountain, they will head out on the road to square off against Marcus at 10:15 a.m. on Thursday.
