The Plainfield Quakers will head out on the road to square off against the Harrison Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Plainfield is headed out to face Harrison after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. Plainfield managed a 31-27 win over Terre Haute South Vigo on Friday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Quakers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Luke Starnes had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 145 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Westyn Weyrich, who rushed for 65 yards and a touchdown.

Weyrich wasn't the only one working in the rushing yards department: Plainfield was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 206 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Terre Haute South Vigo only rushed for 72.

Plainfield didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Brady Sebanc, Greyson Hardin, and Drew White picked up one apiece. Plainfield got some further help from Alex Holsclaw: he made 11 total tackles (1.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Harrison had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 30-22 win over West Lafayette on Friday.

Plainfield might still be hurting after the 39-13 loss they got from Harrison in their previous meeting back in October of 2023. Thankfully for Plainfield, Cailix Dillon (who rushed for 68 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, and also threw for 146 yards and two touchdowns while completing 90% of his passes) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
