Preview: Century Jaguars vs. Liberty Falcons
After four games on the road, Century is heading back home. They will take on the Liberty Falcons at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Century focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Friday.
Last Friday, Century had to suffer through a rough 89-40 loss at the hands of McMinnville. While losing is never fun, Century can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 168th, while McMinnville is ranked sixth).
Despite the loss, Century got a solid performance out of Kami Carmean, who scored 23 points along with five rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Abbie Scharringhausen, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Liberty has not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They secured a 55-49 W over Glencoe on Friday.
Century has not been sharp recently as the team's lost eight of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Liberty, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-13.
