Faith Christian comes up short despite Connor Todhunter-dawson's dominant performance

The Faith Christian Eagles pushed their score all the way to 80 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 91-80 hit to the loss column at the hands of University. Faith Christian's defeat continues a unfortunate trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Faith Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Connor Todhunter-dawson. Despite the final result, he scored 32 points along with six rebounds. Sam Peter was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with three steals.

Even though they lost, Faith Christian were working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

It was another big night for Bryce Gray, who scored 27 points along with seven steals and six assists for University. That's the first time this season that Gray scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Montgomery Holland, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds.

Faith Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for University, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Faith Christian will take on Pioneer at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2024. As for University, they will be playing at home against Indianapolis Scecina Memorial at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Indianapolis Scecina Memorial has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
