Basketball Recap: Frontier Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from True King and Avery Powell

On Thursday, the Frontier Cougars ended up a good deal behind the Belpre Golden Eagles and lost 49-35. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Frontier's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Avery Powell, who posted 12 points and six rebounds, and True King, who earned ten points and eight boards. That was a full 34.3% of Frontier's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's put up more than a third of the team's points.

The defeat was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 6-4. As for Belpre, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.

Frontier wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 61-54 loss against St. Marys on the 25th. Belpre has also already played their next contest (against Ritchie County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
