Basketball Recap: City University School of Liberal Arts Drops Season-High Score on Memphis School of Excellence Winchester

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask City University School of Liberal Arts). They breezed by the Memphis School of Excellence Winchester Eagles to the tune of 79-45 on Thursday. The win was some much needed relief for City University School of Liberal Arts as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Leading City University School of Liberal Arts to victory were Kevion Robertson and Tyler Reliford. Robertson dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds, while Reliford went 6 of 12 on his way to 16 points. Those 21 points gave Robertson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Taylor Gales, who posted seven points.

City University School of Liberal Arts' victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-11. As for Memphis School of Excellence Winchester, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

City University School of Liberal Arts wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 76-67 win against Memphis School of Excellence - Cordova on the 24th. Memphis School of Excellence Winchester has also already played their next game, a 62-25 defeat against Oakhaven on the 24th.
