The Lakeland Chiefs will challenge the Mountain View Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Lakeland is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.8 runs per game this season.

Last Friday, Lakeland didn't have quite enough to beat Montrose and fell 10-9. The loss was the Chiefs' first of the season.

Riley Arzie was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season. Olivia Cunningham was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Mountain View came up short against Hanover Area on Saturday and fell 13-10.

Having lost for the first time this season, Lakeland fell to 3-1. As for Mountain View, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
