Basketball Recap: Casey-Westfield Continues Home Dominance on Saturday

Casey-Westfield had won six straight home games dating back to last season and Hayden Parcel did his part to make it seven on Saturday. The Casey-Westfield Warriors strolled past the Altamont Indians with points to spare, taking the game 64-46 thanks in part to Parcel, who went 16 of 23 on his way to 41 points. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 18.6 points per game.

The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Karras, who posted two points in addition to 11 boards, five assists, and three steals. Those five assists gave him a new career-high.

Altamont's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kade Milleville, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Zaine Miller, who put up 12 points.

Casey-Westfield's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Altamont, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.

Casey-Westfield is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they will face off against Neoga at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Casey-Westfield's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests. As for Altamont, they will host Carlyle at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Altamont is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.2 points per game this season.
