Softball Recap: Cedar Bluff Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Cedar Bluff took on Sand Rock on Thursday. The Tigers took a 20-15 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Rylie Walker stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Paityn Walker was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.

Cedar Bluff's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Sand Rock, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Cedar Bluff will challenge Valley Head at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Sand Rock, they will host West End at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
