Baseball Recap: Robinson Takes a Loss

Robinson lost against Mattoon back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Maroons came up short against the Greenwave, falling 9-2. The Maroons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Robinson saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody Baker, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI.

Robinson's record now sits at 5-3. As for Mattoon, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4.

Looking ahead, Robinson will challenge Cumberland at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mattoon, they will square off against Monticello at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
